Hardware requirements can be quite variable, depending on your needs for other software in a practice. From the point of view of Practice Pro®, its requirements are very modest, and in its current version it continues to run on Intel 80486 machines and on pre-PowerPC Macintosh computers.
Put simply, Practice Pro® will run very effectively on any new machine bought today. It will obviously run faster on more powerful machines, but all of the currently available machines on the market will have ample power for Practice Pro®.
The problem is that you often run other software on the machines you purchase, and these pieces of software are often more demanding than Practice Pro® (Voice Recognition software being the extreme example - the fastest available is often not enough!)
Some principles are applicable to all systems, and are documented here.
